FITAKI Original

If after opening the package you have not used the entire amount of the cheese, then follow our simple tips for storage:

Tip №1

Always store FITAKI Original in the fridge. It is important to protect the cheese from drying out and to protect it from taking on the odours of other products. Therefore, FITAKI Original must be well packaged.

Tip №3

If you prefer to serve the cheese on a plate, then you may cover any cheese remaining after the meal with cling film and store in the fridge. It is important that the film completely covers the edges of the plate. This will preserve the freshness and fine aroma of the cheese.

Tip №2

If you enjoy FITAKI and consume it regularly, it is recommended that you have a plastic box for storing the cheese. By keeping it in a closed container, the cheese is protected both from drying out and taking on outside odours.

Tip №4

The cheese can be stored in the fridge in its original packaging. Once opened, it is necessary to carefully wrap the package with cling film. This way, the cheese will be protected against drying out.

Kept this way, you can store the cheese in the fridge between 2°C and 8°C


If the cheese is stored in its original glass jar in oil, it will remain fresh for a long time.


Only use clean utensils to remove cheese from an open glass jar. This simple tip helps protect the cheese from developing mould and from potentially harmful bacteria.

Store the cheese in the glass jar with the oil at a teperature between 2°C and 8°C.

FITAKI White Cheese

If after opening a package of FITAKI White Cheese, you do not use the entire amount of the cheese, please follow the instructions below:


You may store the remaining cheese in a plastic box or in a small glass jar. Pour some olive oil over the cheese and store it in the fridge between 2°C and 8°C. In addition, you can also add fresh or dried herbs to the oil – for example, rosemary, oregano, thyme or basil. This will infuse the cheese with exquisite Mediterranean aromas.
